Such a beautiful performance. Completely obsessed.
I know I’ve reblogged this video 500 times, but this performance really holds a special place in my heart. Before seeing this concert on tv, I’d never heard Losing My Mind and didn’t even have a clue what Follies was. But sitting there listening to Marin sing this, I had tears streaming down my face. To be honest, the first time I saw Follies in NYC and Bernadette sang this, my mind immediately did a flashback to Marin. I love so many versions of this song, but Marin’s is really my go-to. She captures so many emotions so well.

Julia McKenzie sings “Losing My Mind” in the London production of Follies.
Literally shaking my head in disbelief at how mesmerizing her rendition is. The way she sings it is so incredibly powerful, yet also so ‘smooth’ sounding (for lack of a better word). She hits that last note effortlessly and sounds like she could hold it forever and a day. Amazing. Just amazing.
