I loved the way she said Follies.
Oh my heart. So happy she got to announce their win!!! :)
Victoria Clark sings “Don’t Look At Me” to Ron Raines in L.A.
Sitting here smiling like a complete fool. THEY ARE SO PERFECT TOGETHER.
Colleen Fitzpatrick (Jan Maxwell’s understudy) sings “Could I Leave You?”.

This is pure, unadulterated beauty & heartbreak encapsulated in a song and performance.
Background: In ‘Follies’ a group of former showgirls from World Wars reunite one final time in the 1970s before their theater is knocked down. Sally (Victoria Clark) is singing this song about her husband Buddy while talking to Ben who was Buddy’s best friend and also someone she dallied with on the side while he was dating (and subsequently marring) her best friend Phyllis. She carried a torch for Ben for all of those years despite marrying Buddy and this is her first time seeing him in 30 years. The young voices are the ghosts of Ben & Sally’s former selves.
Diana Rigg & Julia McKenzie in the London production of Follies.
Julia McKenzie…obsessed with you.
Love her recording on this CD, too! Also really enjoy Too Many Mornings. OBSESSED with the way she sings “How” in “How I planned what I’d wear…”. Her voice just gives me chills.
