Oh really?
Really Bernie, really?!
I am crying, fanning myself and flailing.
It’s not until the Fall, but no one understands how THRILLED I AM!!!
Anonymous asked: Why did you want Jan to win so badly? She was spectacular, but so was Audra...
Oh gosh…I honestly don’t know quite how to articulate why I love Jan’s performance so much/why I want her to win. This is going to be rambling and also only scratching the surface…but, here goes. All opinions are of course, my own.
Her performance as Phyllis was absolutely exquisite. Every little gesture, glance and expression said something. She was biting and acerbic, yet brought a complete humanity to the character that made me ache for her. The emotions she poured into Phyllis were present and raw. Her explosiveness thrilled me. Seeing her cry devastated me.
All that to say this: Her portrayal of Phyllis moved me in a way I’d never experienced in the theatre before.
